Asbestos in Domestic Properties – Garage Ceiling
We received a call from a client in the Leeds area, who was thinking of making alterations to their garage and was concerned that the ceiling may contain asbestos. We sampled the ceiling, and it was found to be Asbestos Insulation Board containing brown and white asbestos.
The disturbance of this type of material can lead to high levels of contamination, putting occupants and tradesmen at risk. We organised for the ceiling to be removed by a Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractor under fully controlled conditions.
If you are thinking of having work done to your property, and it was built before 1999, we strongly recommend that you have an asbestos survey carried out. This will avoid delays, unexpected costs and the possibility of putting you and your family in danger from asbestos.
