Asbestos Surveys in Domestic Premises
Although Domestic Premises are not included within Regulation 4 “The Duty to Manage” of the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR 2006) they are still wholly appropriate to Registered Social Landlords (RSL’s). There is still a duty to manage all communal areas in line with Regulation 4 and by virtue of the fact RSL’s are sending employees to work within Domestic Premises they are still a duty holder in this respect and have to fulfil their obligations under Legislation.
