Asbestos Survey – What might be found during an asbestos survey?

Asbestos can be present in a suprising number of materials. Some commmon places where asbestos can be found are: fire blankets, ceiling tiles; perforated acoustic ceiling tiles; wall panels, heat units, vinyl floor tiles, re-inforced plastic toilet seats and cisterns, acoustic pads to the underside of stainless steel sinks and drainers; pipe lagging, corrugated cement roof/wall panels. The list goes on….

If you are usure whether asbestos is present, don’t start work. Your boss or the building manager should tell you if asbestos is present.
